DescriptionWe are offering an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer based in New York, New York. The successful candidate will be involved in the development of code for our core trading engine, liaising with quantitative researchers, and designing low latency trading solutions. This role is central to our operations and requires a strong understanding of C++ and Linux systems, detailed knowledge of network programming, and CPU architectures.Responsibilities:• Develop C++ code for our core trading engine, supporting all exchange-traded asset classes• Collaborate with quantitative researchers to create software for research, analysis, backtesting, and live trading• Design and architect world-class low latency trading solutions • Understand networks, server architecture, and optimize software to best utilize hardware• Acquire knowledge of market data protocols and order entry for global exchanges• Profile and optimize code to ensure high-performance and low-latency• Handle packet capture, packet dissection, and packet replay tasks• Engage in parallel programming, including threads and lock-free programming• Utilize skills in Apache Struts, Database, EO/IR systems, Hibernate ORM, AB Testing, Ajax, API Development, ASP.NET, CSS• Gain finance industry experience to further enhance trading solutions.Requirements• Proficiency in Apache Struts, C++, and Database management• Familiarity with EO/IR systems• Experience with Hibernate ORM and AB Testing• Capabilities in Ajax and API Development• Knowledge of ASP.NET and CSS• Ability to design, develop, and implement software applications• Experience debugging and problem-solving in software development• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Strong analytical and logical thinking abilities• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously• Proven track record of delivering tasks on time and with high quality• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred• Understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycle• Familiarity with software testing methodologiesJob typePerm
