We seek an experienced Software Engineer to serve as part of ACI's Government Program Team Position Description: The Software Engineer in this role will analyze program requirements to provide expert advice to the testing team to create test data manually and/or systematically to test software programs. Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software. Assist with the design, modification, development, and implementation of software programming applications. Support and/or install software applications/operating systems. A Successful Engineer at ACI Will:

  • Work within a cross-functional team (including Configuration Management, Cyber Security, Technical Documentation, Technical Analysis, Software Engineering, and Cloud Engineering personnel) to set up and optimize V&V activities for augmented reality (AR) applications.
  • Routinely interface with corporate leadership, Government customers, program stakeholders, and third-party software and service developers to delineate requirements and accomplish objectives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the areas of Software Development, Software Engineering, Software Lifecycle Management, Systems Analysis and Design, Systems Development, Verification and Validation (V&V), and Configuration. Develop and enhance a robust software build pipeline and automate secure build/artifact delivery.

Required Qualifications:
  • Due to the nature of this work the candidate must have, or have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Must possess a High School diploma and 20 years' experience or,
  • Associate's degree and 16 years' experience or,
  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years' experience or,
  • Master's degree and 5 years' experience.
  • Ability to lead a collaborative, geographically dispersed team in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and to develop a practical understanding of the technical domains necessary to this effort.
  • Extensive experience in software development and all phases of the software development life cycle.
  • Experience coding in C# and C++.
  • Experience with augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) applications.
  • Ability to set up and manage build configurations and artifacts.
  • Ability to document code and technical specifications.
  • Due to the sensitive nature of this work, a US Government clearance is required, and all applicants must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience leading a software development effort or team.
  • Experience with Atlassian Software Suite including Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence and Bamboo.
  • Experience with Tactical Assault Kit (TAK), Watchtower, and/or Cursor on Target (CoT) interoperability.
  • Experience with Army Mission Command Systems (e.g., Nett Warrior, Joint Battle Command-Platform, etc.)
  • Experience with Agile framework and ability to apply best practices using industry standards.
  • Experience with virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) applications.

Pay Band Information: $102,000 - $179,000 The ACI pay band for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of a specific compensation. Factors that influence the pay offered to a specific candidate for this position include, but are not limited to, federal and state laws; federal government contract labor categories and contract wage rates; relevant prior work experience; a candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors; geographic location; education; and certifications.
