Software Engineer - Vive Financial : Job Details

Vive Financial is currently hiring a Software Engineer to work with a team of Engineers to provide stable, high-quality, and scalable solutions that meet the needs of the business. This will also include providing enhancements to current applications, maintaining the existing code base, increasing velocity, and working within our change procedures to fulfill current compliance requirements. This position is eligible for remote work with some days in the office in our Fayetteville, Arkansas location. Candidate must live within a 60-mile radius of Fayetteville, Arkansas. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

• Utilize Azure DevOps as a tool to document changes and maintain existing code base as part of the accepted change control policies
• Securely develop applications using a variety of languages and platforms not limited to Java, HTML, C#, VB.net, ASP.net, .Net Core, Unity, etc.
• Work with users and product owners to clarify needs and resolve issues
• Follow established software engineering standards and best practices
• Test and debug code for quality assurance and problem resolution
• Assist the QA team in developing a plan to test new functionality and features
• Own projects from inception to completion including documenting implementation plans and meeting core business needs
• Assist in after-hours software engineering support and system releases
• Quickly plan and reverse implementations when issues occur using Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines for releases
• Apply an advanced level of knowledge in MS SQL Server utilizing T-SQL, stored procedures and transaction processing concepts in the development of software applications
• Will be part of an on-call rotation to help resolve urgent software engineering system issues occurring outside of normal office hours, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
• Provide guidance and clarity to projects or changes to technical and non technical stakeholders

YOU'LL BRING:

• Five years of software engineer experience in a similar role
• Bachelor's degree in technology related field or equivalent professional experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, adaptability, and attention to detail
• Experience using GIT and Azure DevOps for source control
• Broad experience across technologies, stacks, and development languages especially C#, ASP.net, .Net Core, and javascript
• MS SQL experience
• Strong working knowledge of service-oriented architecture, APIs, JSON marshalling, etc
• Well versed in object-oriented programming
• Self-motivated to learn and apply new technologies
• Experience with Repos in Azure DevOps using GIT in maintaining the Source Code branches
• Experience with dependency injection and middleware
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong UX skills and a good sense for visual and interaction design
• Background in financial services software preferred
• .net 5 and above experience preferred
• Experience with mobile development technologies such as flutter preferred
