Solidification Waste Pit ManagerValicor is looking for a Solidification Waste Pit Manager in our Dearborn location.The Solidification Waste Pit Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of environmental safety and operational excellence by effectively managing the day-to-day solidification operations on-site.Essential Responsibilities
- Direct daily Solidification Waste Pit (SWP) Operations, equipment, and personnel.
- Maintain all safety requirements, ensure safety compliance, and take appropriate actions to address safety and security concerns.
- Ensure that the facility meets all Environmental Regulatory Compliance requirements.
- Training and Performance Management of team members.
- Quality Control/Quality Assurance for all incoming solidification waste.
- Provide coverage for plant operations as required.
- Manage supply chain to improve delivery, cost, & quality of purchased goods.
- Support GM with Business Case Development for projects (capital, expense, and personnel requirements).
- Develop and maintain customer relationships.
- Work directly with Sales team to complete treatability testing timely and grow a profitable business.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure solidification equipment is properly maintained for reliable SWP Operations.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years Management Experience
- Ability to be hands-on or strategic, depending on the business situation
- Proficient in Solidification Strategies and Reaction Chemistry
- Ability to support and enforce company Health & Safety programs
- Understanding of Environmental Compliance related to Solidification Operations and Part 115 Regulations.
- Previous experience with management of industrial waste/wastewater & air permits, RCRA & Waste Classification
- Computer Experience - Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to utilize computer-based management systems efficiently
- Capable of coaching and developing team members at varying performance levels
