About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Solution Integration Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and optimization of cutting-edge smart building technologies. In this role, you will be at the forefront of integrating advanced building automation systems (BAS), IoT technologies, and energy management solutions. You will work closely with project managers and technology partners to deliver innovative solutions that enhance building efficiency, sustainability, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Develop innovative, customized smart building solutions, integrating BMS systems such as HVAC, lighting, access control, surveillance, energy management with smart technologies, such as IoT devices and analytics platforms, and other third-party solutions.
Design systems and workflows that maximize efficiency and sustainability.
Develop wiring diagrams, and functional descriptions tailored to project requirements. Maintain detailed records of configurations, system settings, and technical documents for each project.
Ensure seamless communication between devices and platforms through standard protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus).
Program, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software components, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of integrated systems.
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define project requirements to deliver end-to-end solutions, adhering to timelines and budgets. Provide technical support.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project execution.
Oversee the installation and commissioning of smart building systems.
Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in smart building technologies.
Propose and pilot new solutions to enhance service offerings.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in building management systems, or related fields.
Hands-on experience with platforms like Delta Controls, Loytec, or similar.
Strong understanding of IoT and communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, BACnet, Modbus, DALI) and system integration principles.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar for automation scripting and system customization.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
Knowledge of cloud-based building management platforms and analytics tools.
Experience with energy management systems and sustainability-focused technologies, AI-driven building management systems or predictive maintenance tools.
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Delta Controls Technician, KNX Certified, LEED AP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or related BAS-specific credentials would be an asset.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
