About the Job:

The Patient Relations Administrator is dedicated to ensuring a positive patient experience and is charged with investigating and rectifying patient complaints and grievances. The incumbent will ensure the timely responses to all health system complaints and grievances; will assist with any risk management activities; and will support the health system's Compliance, Risk Management and Legal Services Department, as requested by the manager or director. The Patient Relations Administrator will participate in patient experience improvement initiatives and will actively participate in the Patient Family Advisory Council.

What You'll Do:

  • Demonstrate exceptional service recovery and empathetic listening skills with patients, their representatives, and visitors of the health system
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • High level of discretion, critical thinking, responsiveness, problem-solving, empathetic assertiveness, conflict resolution skills and attention to detail
  • Skillful triage of competing requests
  • Maintain knowledge in accreditation and regulatory requirements for the health system on patient complaints and grievances

Who You Are:

  • Associate degree in business, Science, Healthcare Administration or a closely related field, Required
    • An additional two (2) years of the required experience listed below can be substituted for the required degree.
  • 3+ years of previous customer service or high-level administrative assistance experience, Required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, Required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, Required
