We are looking for an experienced Solutions Engineering Manager to lead our team of solutions engineers and drive the technical sales process for our products, applications, and solutions. As Solutions Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the pre-sales and post-sales activities, providing technical guidance and support to the sales team and customers, and ensuring customer satisfaction and retention. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in engineering, sales, and management, as well as excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills. You should also be able to collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs and expectations, while working closely with a solutions engineering team. Responsbilities:

    • Manage and mentor a team of solutions engineers, providing them with training, coaching, and feedback
    • Support the sales strategies and customer interaction of the outside sales team
    • Develop and implement processes between Sales, Solutions, Applications, and Engineering
    • Establish best practices to support the achievement of company sales targets and revenue goals
    • Coordinate and participate in technical demonstrations, presentations, and proposals for customers and prospects
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
    • Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team and customers throughout the sales cycle
    • Identify customer requirements and pain points, and propose solutions that address them
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry trends, competitors, and customer needs
    • Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities and customer needs
    • Responsible for the conceptual sales technology specification of proposals and support sales in contract negotiations
    • Evaluate and monitor the performance and quality of the solutions engineering team and activities
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on departmental activities
Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
    • 7+ years of experience as a solutions engineer or similar role in a technical sales environment
    • 7+ years of experience as a solutions engineer manager or team leader
    • Proven record leading successful industrial automation technical sales projects and teams
    • Extensive knowledge of Warehouse, Parcel, Automotive, and 3PL systems
    • Understanding of all types of automation solutions such as conveying, ASRS, goods-to-person, sortation, palletizing, depalletizing, piece picking, automated vehicles, and industrial/collaborative robots
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
    • Customer-oriented and results-driven mindset
    • Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales and marketing tools
    • Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred:
    • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, SolidWorks
    • Proficiency with Scheduling, Resource Planning, such as Wrike
    • Proficiency with generating templates and proposals in Confluence
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI
    • Familiarity with simulation & emulation tools
