Overview Perinatal Sonographer, Fort Sanders Perinatal Center Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift At Fort Sanders Perinatal Center, were here for women with pregnancies that require extra care, and were ready to help you make the best healthcare decisions from conception through delivery. For more than 25 years, weve provided comprehensive high-risk pregnancy services and delivered over 26,000 high-risk babies at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. We offer a range of care services for higher-risk pregnancies, including mothers over age 35, multiples, complications, birth defects, issues such as diabetes or hypertension, or pregnancies after infertility. Our main office is located at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. We also have offices in West Knoxville, Morristown, and Sevierville to ensure you get the right care in the right place. [email protected] || 865-###-#### Responsibilities Obtains and documents pertinent clinical information and technical findings for review by physician for order clarification and follow-through. Performs routine diagnostic imaging procedures through technical expertise of equipment and procedure protocol. Assists in the maintenance of equipment, supplies and imaging areas. Maintains patients confidential records, reports and files. Provides patients and families with procedure explanation and/or written documentation of procedure. Proficient in required data entry, record maintenance and statistical data. Responds appropriately and timely to patients, physicians and other customer needs. Coordinates the smooth transition of patients throughout the hospital and other campus locations. Proficient in patient assessment, monitoring and sterile technique as required. Provides assistance with clerical and transport needs. Demonstrates competent performance of critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the entire life span. Technically proficient in the operation and quality control aspects of scanning and image recording equipment specific to the assigned work area. Displays independent work skills by capably taking physician orders to completion to include correct patient transport, required clerical skills, physician defined scanning parameters, acquisition, filming and physician interpretation. Correct drug, procedure and supply charging, stock maintenance and vendor ordering procedure. Efficiently coordinates daily work distribution and patient flow. Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority. Minimum Experience: Entry Level Licensure Requirements: Must meet ARDMS registry eligibility requirements or be able to achieve such eligibility within six (6) months of employment ARDMS registry eligibility or achieve within six (6) months. CPR required.
