In turn, we hope this helps you evaluate if this is the right job for you.SUMMARY Croda is seeking a Procurement/Supply Chain coordinator responsible for ensuring that all externally sourced raw materials, packaging and consumables are ordered and received into Croda's site in a prompt and timely manner to support production requirements and the production schedule, while also minimizing working capital and costs. Perform all duties within the Company's safety health & environmental regulations. All other duties as assigned by management.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES PROCUREMENT AND PRODUCTION SCHEDULING: Maintain and create production schedule for site.Plan and schedule material purchase orders using the SAP stock requirements lists/MRP.Work closely with procurement managers to understand supply strategy, which vendors to order from and at which terms, while providing short term demand outlook and recommendations for safety stock levels. Inform managers of any gaps in coverage.Ensure that raw materials, packaging, and consumables are ordered and arrive as needed, taking lead times, safety stocks, and logistical constraints on site into consideration.Coordinate deliveries of carriers/trucks to meet plant schedules. Role requires a significant amount of discussion and negotiation with suppliers and carriers to ensure delivery times are met and any variances on delivery dates are maintained within SAP.Relay issues to key stakeholders: central supply chain, site management, commercial teamsOrder consumable materials as needed for the site.Ensure materials meet all applicable Croda purchase and regulatory specifications.Assist with set up of new materials and suppliers in SAP. Obtain documents from suppliers & samples as needed, for qualification and master data set up. Create info records for new raw material set up. Use global vendor onboarding tool to set up new vendors.Participate in daily production meetingVENDOR ACTIVITIES: Place orders directly with vendors, confirming commercial terms as negotiated by managers and delivery as needed by production. Follow up frequently required with vendor as production schedules change.Excellent planning and organizational skills are required as products and services are sourced globally with a large number of suppliers on different INCOTERMS. This can range from US based suppliers with short lead times and delivered pricing, to overseas based suppliers in Europe and Asia where lead times can be several months. Coordinating deliveries with this complexity needs strong attention to detail.Raise supplier complaints and follow through to obtain complaint root cause and corrective action response and ensure appropriate actions are taken to improve supplier performance.Resolve any invoice issues.OTHER DUTIES: Manage and maintain a number of internal processes including the following: Vendor Performance Evaluation System, Regulatory Certification, and all Site Purchasing Procedures (such as those needed to maintain company ISO and ACC certifications. Ensure all SAP master data is maintained including prices, lead times, delivery times, supplier approvals, source lists and purchasing specifications as required. Provide back-up for department members as need, and complete training as required.QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & TRAINING: BS or BA Degree is required. Degree in Science, Engineering, Supply Chain or Business a plus.KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of UCC law and SAP highly preferred.SKILLS & ABILITIES COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must have oral & written proficiency in the English language.COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficiency in MS Office. Knowledge of SAP preferred.
