Job Description SummaryThe Sourcing Specialist – Facilities & Construction is responsible for leading strategic sourcing activities for the Facilities and Construction categories in GE Gas Power's Greenville and Schenectady sites, and for collaborating on sourcing activities across multiple North America sites. The Sourcing Specialist will develop strategies and lead negotiations to drive the best pricing, quality, and commercial terms, and will support total cost of ownership reduction including vendor management, demand management, manufacturing equipment standardization and governance/compliance to deliver savings compared to the investment budget. The Sourcing Specialist will report to the Regional Indirect Sourcing Leader and work with the Global Category Sourcing team to coordinate sourcing efforts, drive RFQ process and supplier selection for assigned investment projects and execute sourcing initiatives. The Sourcing Specialist will also partner with GE functional stakeholders in Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Finance, Supply-Chain, and other functions to drive excellent service levels to the organization.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Global Commodity Leaders to develop negotiation strategies and drive negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives.Promote best practices, measure and track internal performance, monitor strategy implementation to ensure benefit realization within the assigned category spend.Oversee end-to-end Sourcing process: strategy, market analysis, negotiation process (RFXs), supplier selection and contract creation, and buy channel management.Perform detailed cost analysis and negotiations to ensure competitive pricing.Drive standardized sourcing processes and achievement of savings and cash targets.Develop strategic suppliers to reduce cycle time from demand identification to PO placement.Develop collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to implement sourcing strategies and processes.Act as a resource for colleagues and stakeholders on sourcing process, commodity strategies, and sourcing execution.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college5+ years' experience in Sourcing or Supply ChainStrong experience within the assigned category and complex project commercial negotiationsAbility to collaborate cross-functionally to implement and drive process improvementsStrong analytical/problem solving skills including solid knowledge of MS Office toolsDemonstrated negotiations skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Experience with RFQ implementation and executionStrong experience in Procurement processesAggressive self-starter, fast learner able to handle multiple tasks in parallelDesired CharacteristicsMBA or Bachelor's degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering5+ years' experience in Construction SourcingExperience in Facilities Services Sourcing (Maintenance, Janitorial, Waste, Landscaping, etc.)Strategic sourcing / category management experience in a multinational companyStrong track record for implementing change and delivering resultsThought leader, collaborative mindset in working across functional areasWorking knowledge of ERP/ SSS systemsStrong project management skillsThe base pay range for this position is $94,500.00 - $126,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
