TITLE: Restaurant Sous Chef COMPENSATION: $55K to $65K w/ Bonus Potential BENEFITS: 401K w/ Match, Health, Dental & Vision, Flexible Schedule, Paid Time Off, Referral Program, Retirement Plan RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure consistent production and excellent presentation of well-prepared, flavorful food Assist in the creation and development of unique food offerings that provide our guests with the ultimate dining experience Provide leadership, motivation, support, and development of our culinary team, creating a positive environment that encourages ownership and accountability Ensure operational compliance with Company Standards and State of Illinois Food Safety Standards Maintain great partnerships with our culinary team & FOH guest services teams as well as strategic partners to provide a seamless guest experience IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 5 years experience High school degree or equivalent A previous culinary experience in a high-volume full service restaurant or hotel Previous experience with on-site / off-site catering ACF (Certified Executive Chef) certification, Culinary Arts Degree, or equivalent restaurant/hotel field degree Multi-lingual Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment Proven ability to be a self-starter and initiator Exceptional organizational and planning skills Possess an upbeat, fun-driven attitude paired with a great work ethic and professionalism Proven ability to coach, lead and inspire a diverse team Understanding of and ability to demonstrate the fundamentals of cooking Proven ability to use culinary skills in the creation of menu items that meet company standards and trends of guests Demonstrated knowledge of industry trends and practical business applications Equal Opportunity Employer Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: Yes
