Title: Sous ChefShift: Full time- no late night hours required Job Summary:
- Support the delivery and execution of quality food service to residents and guests
- Prepare fresh, nutritious, appealing, and delicious meals
- Work with the Director of Culinary on planning and executing menus
- Prepare dishes following the pre-establish menus and recipes
- Alter ingredients to serve better the tastes and dietary needs of our residents and guests
- Take the lead in certain areas, such as the cookline, cleanliness and sanitation and supervise the
- entire operation in the absence of the director of culinary
- Help organize the process so the kitchen runs smoothly
- Ensure meals are received on time
- Assist the Director of Culinary on scheduling shifts
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Ensure all comply with food safety and handling procedures
- Abide by best practices and instruct others on cleaning, slicing techniques, equipment
- maintenance, sanitization, and proper refrigeration
- Be able to perform other duties as required
Qualifications:•At least three plus years' previous experience in hotels, hospitality, senior living, and related operations preferred•A high school diploma or equivalent certificate•Certificate or Associate Degree in Culinary Arts required •Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques•Advanced knife skills•Strong attention to detail•Fluent in the English language•Current Food Handler certificate or ServSafe certification•Positive attitude and the ability to work well with all people, particularly seniorsABOUT US: Evolve Senior Living was founded on the premise of change.
