Job Description :
The Distributive Organizer will be a key player in managing and executing direct voter contact plans, including phone banking and text banking. This role requires a strong command of various tech programs, experience in managing diverse teams, and a deep commitment to progressive values.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    • Texting Banking
    • Technology Management:
    • Utilize peer-to-peer texting platforms (e.g., Spoke, ThruText, Hustle) for creating, editing, and administering P2P campaigns.
    • Perform regular data entry and manage databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
    • Use and manage various organizing tools and platforms, including predictive dialers, broadcast SMS messaging, and social media tools.
    • Direct Voter Contact:
    • Write and refine text and phone bank scripts, especially for the Bet on Us program (Black womxn and femmes) and general WFP volunteer campaigns.
    • Staff and run text and phone banks, ensuring effective communication and outreach.
    • Campaign Execution:
    • Execute and manage direct voter contact plans, adapting to changing campaign needs and environments.
    • Follow up on the REACH program for relational organizing.
    • Volunteer and Team Management:
    • Work with a diverse group of volunteers and supporters, demonstrating sensitivity to various demographics and backgrounds.
    • Foster a collaborative environment where people collectively plan and work together to achieve better solutions.
    • Operational Flexibility:
    • Work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and occasional holidays, as required by campaign needs.
    • Adapt quickly and efficiently to shifts in campaign priorities and strategies.
Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong command of technology and experience with peer-to-peer texting platforms (e.g., Spoke, ThruText, Hustle) or similar.
    • Proficient in data entry and management, with experience in electoral or issue campaign tactics and messaging.
    • Demonstrated experience working with diverse groups, including across race, gender, and class.
    • Commitment to progressive politics and belief in leadership development through project ownership and success.
    • Reliable access to strong wifi and good phone reception.
    • At least 1 cycle of electoral experience.
    • Creative thinking: Demonstrated ability to create unique solutions to problems, works well with others to develop new and creative strategies for volunteer recruitment and management.
    • Strong Project Management: The ability to work well with a diverse group of people, coordinate multiple participants to engage in collaborative projects to meet deadlines. Ability to manage several moving pieces in a fast paced environment while bringing people together to take action in support of Working Families candidates and causes.
    • Ability and willingness to work nontraditional hours. This role will include Saturday canvass events and activities as well as evening hours during the weekdays
    • Ability to learn new systems: Ability to execute and track direct voter contact including but not limited Moblize, Scale to Win, Slack, Signal.
What Else Should You Know
    • Compensation: The hourly pay for this role will be determined based on our Pay Scale, which takes into consideration years of experience, geographic location, and final job description. The hourly pay for this position is $24.66 an hour.
    • Location and Travel: This is a remote position within the Metro Atlanta area. You may need to travel for major events and all staff meetings.
    • Schedule: The position is temporary and part time, ending November 8, 2024.
    • Union Affiliation: WFP is a unionized workplace. This is a short term temporary role that is not eligible for inclusion in WFP's staff bargaining unit. WFP's union employees are represented by the New York Metropolitan Area Joint Board, Workers United union.
