Duties and responsibilities

• Supervises Spa Front Desk, Attendants and Therapist staff
• Assists Director in day-to-day management of the Spa and its operating departments
• Maintains the compliance of State/OSHA requirements
• Assists with the recruiting, screening, hiring and training of all staff
• Assists and/or manages staff scheduling
• Oversees Spa maintenance standards and staff daily task lists
• Manages ordering of retail, operational product, department transfers and spa shipping/receiving
• Manages retail and back-bar product inventories
• Assists Director with all standard operating procedures, ensures safety, quality and guest satisfaction
• Fills in or assists Front Desk, Attendant shifts and Manager on Duty as needed
• Ensures that staff and facility is prepared at the time of opening
• Performs special projects as assigned by the Spa Director
• Must have a flexible work schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Successfully pass a pre-employment Background Check
• Successfully pass a pre-employment Drug Screening
• Excellent customer service skills
• Hold OLCC and food handlers cards desired but not required at time of hire

Working conditions

• The Spa Operations Manager position requires a person to cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, shift work, and possess effective strategies for dealing with difficult clients and staff.

Physical requirements

• The Spa Operations Manager may be required to stand for extended periods of time, and lift heavy objects on a regular basis.
