Job Summary:
The position involves comprehensive facilities and space management for the Federal Protective Service (FPS) portfolio. Responsibilities include portfolio data management, project management, and statistical reporting, specifically focusing on rent analytics, forecasting, and trends in accordance with FPS and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) policies. The role requires proficiency in General Services Administration (GSA) applications, project management methodologies, and adherence to FPS and DHS policies and guidelines.
Base Salary/Pay: $80,000-$85,000/ annually
Responsibilities & Duties:
* Rent Management: Identifying rent discrepancies using GSA applications, conducting financial reporting, and forecasting rent schedules.
* Space Layout and Design: Utilizing AutoCAD to update space layouts, create construction drawings, and develop space reduction scenarios.
* Facility Documentation: Developing and maintaining facility factsheets and files, ensuring compliance with FPS and DHS naming conventions and policies.
* Site Visits and Data Analysis: Conducting site visits to validate space allocation, layout, and utilization, and analyzing space allocation data.
* Program and Project Management: Supporting regional FPS with program management, including developing project requirements, Statements Of Work (SOWs), and tracking project progress.
* Reporting and Documentation: Producing occupancy, utilization, and project reports, creating flowcharts and slide decks, and maintaining program files.
* Vendor Coordination: Liaising with vendors for furniture design and installation and generating acquisition support documents.
* Compliance and Oversight: Reviewing floor plans and design drawings for compliance, conducting site visits during construction phases, and ensuring all project activities comply with FPS and DHS policies.
* Communication and Coordination: Coordinating office and staff moves, capturing project requirements, and providing regular project status updates to management.
Qualifications:
Experience:
* Minimum of six years of experience conducting analytical and support activities related to the Facilities and Space Management.
* Minimum of six years of project management experience in related work and support activities.
* Minimum of six years of experience writing SOWs in related work and support activities.
Education:
* Bachelor's degree required.
Skills and Abilities:
* Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
* Strong research and analytical skills for technical data.
* Ability to read, interpret, utilize, and comply with management policies, regulations, and directives.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 or higher, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the capability to create professional memorandums, letters, analytical spreadsheets, and presentations.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong multitasking skills to manage several tasks simultaneously.
Technical Knowledge:
* Knowledge of the GSA procurement process and procedures for projects, services, and occupancy.
* Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD, including the ability to manipulate or design building, furniture, and office layouts, and provide renderings via PDF.
