Special Needs Attendant - Vivalon : Job Details

Job Type Full-timeDescriptionVivalon is looking for Special Needs Attendants for our San Francisco Routes!The Special Needs Attendant performs a variety of tasks to support the driver in providing safe and proper transportation for our elderly clients and adult clients with disabilities. We provide a 3 day, fully-paid training and an excellent team-oriented work environment. Starting pay is $20 per hour + a $500 SIGN-ON BONUS paid after 90 days! This full-time position is Monday through Friday with a guarantee of 30 hours per week working 6-hour days (morning and afternoon split shifts). Successful candidates will be able to:

• Supervise and assist clients in transit.
• Assist the driver in the proper loading and unloading of passengers.
• Know the appropriate use of securing devices for safety restraints, wheelchairs, and seat belts.
• Demonstrate understanding and empathy for persons with disabilities.
• Enjoy working with people of all ages and be sensitive to their needs.
• Display professional behavior when working with clients, co-workers, and community members.
• Follow all health and safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Report any client concerns to the driver and the appropriate management staff.

RequirementsQualifications:

• Friendly & reliable plus excellent customer service skills and a desire to help others
• Provide 2 professional references
• Pass a pre-employment background check, Live Scan fingerprinting, drug/alcohol screen and submit to random drug and alcohol testing consistent with federal law throughout employment
