Special Needs Caregiver - Santa Lucia : Job Details

ABOUT THE POSITION

Santa Lucia is seeking to hire a contracted Caregiver in Rio Rancho/Albuquerque. This position helps support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to become more independent, have fun, and build relationships. You will care for them as they participate in fun activities in the community. Our caregivers gain valuable experience in the human services field.

What is it like to be a caregiver for Santa Lucia?

Here is what you might expect to do on a typical day:

• Provide transportation and supervision
• Assist with planning community activities
• Model appropriate behaviors
• Attend fun activities such as going to the movies, bowling, car rides, zoo visits, sporting events, video games etc.
• Help the individuals maintain a healthy lifestyle

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Highschool diploma (or equivalent)
• Valid driver's license preferred
• No prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is necessary to apply for this position though it would be preferred. We train all of our caregivers to give meaningful support to the individuals we serve.

AVAILABLE SHIFT

20-25 hours a week. These shifts are very flexible, and we can accommodate to your schedule.
