Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Special Procedure Tech provides direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures to assist physicians and delivers quality patient/family centered care. The incumbent may be required to perform IV starts, prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, vascular access site management, and provide patient/family education.

Qualifications

  • Required associate's degree or equivalent in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, training and/or education.

  • Required Interventional Radiology requires completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT).
  • Required Cath Lab/EP Lab requires employee to be a graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program
  • Clinical experience required through graduation of one of the above listed programs. Required
  • 2 years of relevant experience in EP, Cath Lab or IR. Required
  • CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist IR, Cath Lab Upon Hire
  • CRT-Cardiovascular (CV) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist IR 2 Yrs required Or
  • CRT-Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist IR 2 Yrs required
  • CRT-Reg Card Elect Specialist (RCES) - CCINT'L Cardiovascular Credentialing International Cath Lab, EP Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Reg Card Inter Specialist (RCIS) - CCINT'L Cardiovascular Credentialing International Cath Lab, EP Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association Cath Lab, EP Upon Hire required
  • CRT-At least one License and/or Certification in area of specialty - UNKNOWN Unknown IAPB in Cath Lab Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
