We are looking for compassionate individuals interested in becoming a Host Home / Home Provider. This role can provide an average annual income of $80,000 (federally tax-free) plus room and board. To qualify, you must own or rent your own home and be familiar with brain injuries, as well as have experience with individuals using wheelchairs.

Mosaic has a rich history of nearly 40 years in enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities through shared living services. As a home provider, you will create a safe and nurturing environment for an individual with a disability while supporting them with daily living tasks.

We currently have a male client seeking a caring provider to share their home with him, helping him to lead his best life! He enjoys having an occasional drink and appreciates a good sense of humor. A home that accommodates pets and children would be ideal as long as the environment remains calm and supportive.

In this position, your role will include:

  • Supporting daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and budgeting.
  • Assisting with skill acquisition and fostering independence.
  • Helping with medication management and scheduling medical appointments.
  • Engaging in meaningful leisure activities and facilitating community involvement.
  • Documenting care and services provided to the individual through a web-based application.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with the care team as necessary.
  • Providing transportation when needed.

Additional tasks may include:

  • Assistance with personal care such as bathing, toileting, and feeding.
  • Supporting medical needs and protocols tailored to the individual's requirements.
  • Care for individuals with complex medical needs or behavioral challenges.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Current vehicle registration, valid driver's license, and car insurance.
  • Active home or renters insurance.
  • Must have reliable access to a computer and the internet.
  • Ability to complete all state-mandated training and pass background checks.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.
  • Experience is preferred but not mandatory.
