Specimen accessioner/TN - Select Laboratory Partners : Job Details

Reference laboratory in Memphis TN is hiring a focused specimen accessioner to process specimens in our laboratory and to respond to client inquires. The specimen accessioner will confirm client and specimen details, adequacy and appropriateness of specimens. You will ensure specimens are labeled and stored correctly. Position is full time Monday - Friday, day shift hours. Options for Medical, Dental and Vision benefits. Company paid life insurance policy plus option for 401K enrollment thru ADP Totalsource.

Responsibilities include:

* Verify accuracy of client and specimen details

* Examine specimens for adequacy and appropriateness

* Capture client and specimen data electronically

* Centrifuge specimens and prepare aliquots

* Assist client with inquiries pertaining to specimen requirements and turn around times

* Comply with applicable laws and regulations and company policies and procedures

Requirements:

* High school diploma or GED

* Previous clinical laboratory experience

* Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel

* Proficient typing and data entry skills

* Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

* Ability to perform with a high level of accuracy

* Background screening performed
