Offering a travel stipend for someone coming an hour or more, and offering a potential relocation stipend.Highland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wellsville, NY is currently seeking a Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)/CCC or a CFY!At Highland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, we strive to provide the highest quality of individualized care to each resident in a manner that promotes dignity, comfort, and support — ultimately enabling them to reach their maximum level of physical, emotional, and psychosocial functioning and well-being.Sign On Bonus $3,000PRN and Part Time available as wellDuties Include:Evaluate Residents conditions for swallowing or cognitive deficitsHelp Residents in their goals to improve Cognition or SwallowingEducation for Residents and CaregiversProvide skilled, medically necessary speech and language therapy assessments as well as develop and implement individualized treatment plans to increase client's independence and functioningProvide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disordersProvide training and education to client, family, caregivers and other professionals as a subject matter expertCoordinate and collaborate with other professionals for diagnostic swallowing procedures (MBSS, FEES) as ordered by physicianDemonstrate competent technical skills according to current Speech Therapy standards of practiceCommunicate changes in resident's conditionProvide accurate and timely billing records and supporting clinical documentationRespond to family requests and concerns timelyCoordinate and provide training with Restorative Nursing and other Care staffAssure resident abuse or neglect does not occurObserve confidentiality and safeguards for all patient informationComplies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirementsSLP Requirements· Active New York license in Speech-Language Pathology· Current ASHA Certification· In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boardsCareer AdvantagesRare in-house opportunity ( NON Contracted)Practice in an environment built on integrity and progressive, ethical careElectronic documentation systemExcellent pay and benefitsWork collaboratively with a supportive team of therapists and nursing staffThe rehab team is strategically designed with growth, opportunity, and career enrichment in mind!
