Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Spiritual Support – Minister to residents of all faiths, offering presence, counseling, and emotional support.
- Coordinate Liturgical Services – Organize and lead Mass, Communion, and Prayer Services, ensuring meaningful spiritual engagement.
- Conduct Spiritual Assessments – Complete resident assessments within seven days of admission and maintain documentation.
- One-on-One Resident Visits – Offer personalized spiritual guidance, especially for those in palliative care, bereavement, or transitional periods.
- Hospital Outreach – Visit hospitalized residents within three days of admission.
- Volunteer & Clergy Coordination – Engage and schedule spiritual care volunteers and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.
- Memorial & Ethics Committee Involvement – Lead biannual memorial services and serve on the Ethics Committee to uphold the spiritual integrity of our mission.
Who This Role is Perfect For:
- A Practicing Catholic who is, or is eligible to be, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
- Retired or Semi-Retired Ministers & Chaplains looking to continue serving in a part-time capacity.
- Experienced in Ministry – Prior work in senior care, hospital visitation, parish outreach, or similar settings.
- Educational Background – Bachelor's degree (or certificate) in Theology, Religious Education, Pastoral Ministry, or Spirituality; Master's degree and Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
- Committed to Catholic Health Care – Understanding of Catholic teachings, social justice, and Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
