Spotter - Farmers Home Furniture : Job Details

Join our team for an exciting opportunity in distribution! This position will act in a back-up spotter and in a distribution worker capacity. • Operates a tractor/trailer truck and various pieces of light and heavy equipment to transport merchandise to and from the truck, store, and loading dock.
• Loads and unloads merchandise from truck, stores, and loading dock.
• Ability to operate light and heavy equipment including order picker forklifts. Forklift certification provided on site.
• Ability to routinely work 30 feet high in merchandising racks with safety equipment provided.
• Ability to handle equipment, tools, knobs and switches requiring precise movement of the fingers and hands.
• Flexibility to move to other areas of the warehouse as needed.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions as well as an RF scan gun.
• Ability to work well with others
• Maintain quality and production standards
• Conforms to all Federal and State DOT regulations and rules.
• Tasks require the ability to exert heavy physical effort, regularly involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of mildly heavy weight (20-50 pounds) and occasionally involving handling heavier objects (up to 100 pounds).

Skills:

• Ability to operate various pieces of heavy/light equipment to transport merchandise.
• Ability to exert heavy physical effort which may involve objects of mildly heavy weight (20-50 lbs.); and occasionally handling heavier objects (up to 100 lbs.)
• Knowledge of Federal and State DOT regulations
• Good organizational skills
