Spray Booth Operator - QPS Employment Group : Job Details

Position Title: Spray Booth OperatorWage: $19.30/hourShift: 1stHours: 5am-3:30pm Monday-FridayQPS Employment Group is hiring a Spray Booth Operator for a company in Marshfield, MO. This is a contract to hire role.Spray Booth Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Safely finish solid and veneered interior and exterior wood products using advanced finish spraying and sanding equipment- Production needs include but are not limited to customer orders, inventory, product samples, and product development prototypes- Ensure the safety and well-being of self as well as all associates within the facility- Oversee the operation of the workstation, ensuring safe work practices as well as keeping the work area a safe work environment for all that work or enter the area- Other duties may be assignedSpray Booth Operator Requirements:- High school diploma or GED- 1-3 years of past manufacturing experience preferred- 1 year of commercial/industrial finish paint/spray/stain experience- 1-2 years of wood finishing experience (spray finishing preferred)- Knowledge of wood products and finishing preferred- Dependable, punctual, good attendance- Ability to interact well with others in the common pursuit of working safely while producing material that meets all quality attributes and standards- Ability to work overtime- Must be able to read Safety Data Sheets (SDS)- Must be able to wear a respirator- Regularly communicate- Frequently stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms- Occasionally sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl- Frequently lift and move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift and move up to 50lbs- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus- No minimum education and/or experience requirements (other than the items previously mentioned)- OSHA 10-hour training preferred- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment- High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of workQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
