SQL Developer - Insight Global : Job Details

Contract/Contract-to-Hire Roles:

Compensation:

$40/hr to $65/hr.

Position: Power BI/SQL Developer

Duration: 1 year contract ( will extend contract for years to come if it is a good fit)

Location: Louisville, KY 40203

Shift: M-F ONSITE (Regular 40 hour work week) – 5 days in office

Top Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3-5+ years' professional working experience in a SQL working with select statements
• 3-5+ years' professional working experience with data flows and creating measures
• Professional working experience building reports in Power BI

Plusses:

• Professional experience working with asset management tools (Cascade, Maximo, Cityworks Software Suite, etc.)
• Professional working experience with Power Automate
• Strong understanding of VBA. NET or Microsoft Access

Daily Responsibilities:

Insight Global is looking for an application tester/developer to support a public utility company in the Louisville, KY area. This individual will report onsite to the corporate headquarters 5 days out of the week. Primary responsibilities include getting requirements from users and designing reports for them, helping customers maintain and establish very large schematic models, adding new tables and measures, and maintaining the data flows that support it. This candidate needs to be able to translate existing processes, report, and update them to Power BI. They will also be working cross-functionally with other departments when they request a report. This role requires a high proficiency in SQL, Dax, and Power BI. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, have exceptional punctuality skills, and be willing to stay on the front of the everchanging landscapes of Microsoft and Power BI.
