Job Title: Senior Accountant
Description
Seeking a senior accountant to assist our accounting team. Individual will be completing general accounting tasks including but not limited to spreadsheets, prepaids, accruals and account analysis.
Will manager prepaid and accruals
Month End: this persons involvement in the month end will be mainly Journal Entries, specifically Prepaid and Accruals - should be well rounded in everything so that they can help out in other areas
Reporting: A lot of their day will be preparing adhoc reports - Examples: Variance, trends, budget VS actuals
Analyses on expenses (Variance analyses)
Sales reports
Revenue reporting
Reports on Gross Margin
Operational income reports
Financial statements- will look at the data and help role it into the Q's
Cash flow and balance sheet reconciliations
Requirements
5yrs, understanding of General Accounting
General Ledger experience working within the Chart of Accounts
Journal Entries: Accruals, prepaids, correction of entries
Excel - Pivot Tables, V-Lookups
Accounting or Finance bachelors
Strong understanding of Accounting Principles
Analytical skills- for trend analysis, variance ,budget vs actual, adhoc.
Manufacturing experience is a huge plus
Experience with a publicly traded company is a plus
