POSITION SUMMARY: As Sr. Accountant at Husqvarna Construction you will prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts and explain fluctuations, create financial reports and explain results to management, research issues and provide guidance for appropriate application. Your success is critical for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting. Husqvarna Construction is a part of Husqvarna AB. We are a world leader in the construction and stone industries. RESPONSIBILITIES Finance & Accounting Functions (50%)
  • Create, analyze and research monthly journal entries.
  • Ensure standardization of Chart of Accounts across NA by determining when to add new accounts, consolidate and deactivate unnecessary accounts.
  • Oversee the following of all retention policies by communicating destroy dates, working with departments to ensure compliance for applicable areas per policy, and taking ownership of retention policy requirements.
  • Gather and pull together information for income and property tax reporting to send for filing.
  • Calculate and coordinate annual transfer pricing adjustment calculations to present to HCP Finance management.
  • Create, analyze, and research monthly Interco billing to ensure accurate chargebacks.
  • Process map core activities and audit to ensure accurate process mapping to provide cross-training.
  • Create and audit internal controls and ensure alignment with Group policies. Present findings on quarterly basis to HCP Finance management.
  • Run various ad hoc reports as requested.
Reporting (30%)
  • Ensure financial and tax reporting is in accordance with local government regulations.
  • Oversee balance sheet general ledger account analysis by reviewing, researching and reporting in accordance with Group policies and procedures.
  • Create and support annual budgets and quarterly forecasting as required.
Sales Support (20%)
  • Calculate rebates for customers.
  • Oversee and coordinate fleet vehicles to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Calculate, analyze, and research monthly commissions & quarterly KPI payments and communicate in a timely and accurate manner to appropriate departments as needed.
AS THE IDEAL CANDIDATE YOU
  • Maintain high level of attention to detail.
  • Multitask effectively and handle multiple projects without losing focus.
  • Analyze and solve new or unfamiliar problems and trouble-shoot problems independently.
CRITICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
  • Solid knowledge of ERP systems
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel heavy)
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS/GAAP
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting required.
  • At least 5 years' previous experience as Accountant required.
