Sr. Accountant - Elite Placement Group : Job Details

Our client, a high end consumer goods company is looking to hire a Senior Accountant. Hybrid schedule, based out of NYC. Great growth potential and family work environment. Main Responsibilities: • Assist with the month-end close process. • Own the calculation and report distribution for semi-monthly retail commission periods. • Own the monthly close and review for our wholly owned subsidiary. • Assist with quarter-end commentary and own monthly report compilation and distribution for certain departments. • Directly supervise staff accountants. • Assist with annual budgeting process • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency of existing processes. • Assist with maintenance and documentation of accounting policies. • Annual audit and quarterly reviews. Qualifications: • BA/BS degree in Accounting • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience • Active CPA license is a plus
