Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Income Tax Analyst to join our dynamic tax team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of corporate income tax compliance, reporting, and planning. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as experience with tax provision, compliance processes, and supporting audits. The Senior Income Tax Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely tax filings and contribute to tax planning initiatives.
Position Responsibilities:- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
- Resolve tax disputes with international, federal and state regulatory agencies
- Advise senior management regarding significant tax law changes, court decisions, proposed legislation, and other tax related developments affecting the companies and shareholders
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company's tax position and strategy.
- Work closely with the Tax Director on miscellaneous tax planning and research projects
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting related to income taxes.
- Prepare and file income tax returns, extensions, and payments.
- Possess working knowledge of sales tax, payroll tax, personal property tax and fuel tax
- Manage, train, and develop tax department personnel
Candidate Requirements:- Minimum 2-4 years of experience with C Corporation, S Corporation, Partnership, and Individual taxation
- Bachelors in Accounting
- Proficient in tax research and preparation software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and under tight deadlines
Preferred Attributes:- CPA
- Master's degree in taxation or accounting
