Sr. Analyst, Project Operations - Distributed Solar Development : Job Details

The Sr. Analyst, Project Operations will support the financial and commercial analysis of the company's fast-growing portfolio of distributed solar and battery storage projects across the United States. Overall responsibilities will include, building out project cost analysis to compare all phases of the project lifecycle and analysis of procurement costs, logistics, and allocations. The Sr. Analyst, Project Operations will report to the Director of Finance Project Operations and collaborate cross-functionally with other internal stakeholders including Accounting, FP&A, Structured Finance, Origination, Development, and Construction. Key Responsibilities

• Establish metrics for tracking financial performance of existing and new revenue streams
• Prepare monthly reporting to be distributed to internal leadership team and external investors
• Develop tools to automate data analysis and recurring reporting to management, lenders, investors, and auditors
• Create presentations that enable management teams to understand monthly and year-to-date results
• Support ad hoc requests for performance data from management, lenders, investors, and auditors
• Develop predictive financial models to support budget and forecast
• Maximize profitability of the portfolio by identifying opportunities to maximize revenue, minimize expenses, and expedite cash receipts
• Identify and mitigate potential risk to future cash flow from operating assets
• Study industry-specific research and available data to predict trends

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, with a major in finance, economics, or statistics
• Proven experience working as a financial analyst
• Proven proficiency in spreadsheets, reporting, and financial software applications (required: Excel and PowerPoint; preferred: SalesForce, Adaptive Planning, NetSuite)
• Excellent reporting, presenting, and communication skills
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
• Ability to work with large datasets
• Strategic thinking and organizational skills
• Proven analytical and financial modeling skills

• Experience in renewable energy, especially distributed solar and battery storage assets, is preferred
