Senior ArchitectSyracuse, NY 13029System One is seeking a Sr. Architect in Syracuse, NY to provide Architectural support and oversite of Design, Construction, and Commissioning of Architectural systems for a semiconductor facility. This is a great opportunity to join a respected client in the industrial construction and engineering services sector!Important Details:Temp-to-hire opportunity with possibility of conversion to a permanent role after 520 hours workedPay rate range: $65 - $75/hr. Salary will be commensurate with experience.Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMApproximate start date: 03/25/25Weekly payBenefits after 30 days (health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, etc.)401k after 30 daysJob offer will be contingent on drug screen and background checkUS Citizenship or Permanent Residence requiredSpecific ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have the following specific responsibilities for Architectural support and oversite of Design, Construction, Commissioning of Architectural systems including:Review of Design drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracyReview of Architectural elements in NavisWorks 3D model relative to functionality, egress, ease of maintenance requirements, constructability, coordination with other disciplines, etc.Validation of relative design calculationsReview and approval of equipment and component submittals in coordination with O&M staffReview and validation of construction RFI responsesReview and approval of shop drawings and construction modelsField architectural QA during constructionCommissioning support QualificationsThe successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:8+ years of Architecture experience with designing industrial facilities.4 year Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is required.Semiconductor experience preferredKnowledge of Architecture and design practices including drawings, specifications, codes, building materials and costs, and construction techniques.Working knowledge of applicable design codes and standardsWorking knowledge of IBC, ICC, Fire Codes, Life Safety Codes and ADA requirements.Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team of architects, engineers and designers on multiple, concurrently executed projects.Good organizational and communication skills. Expresses ideas concisely and clearly, both orally and in writing.Accepts responsibility for own actions and honors commitments.Willingness and ability to travel to client offices and project sites for meetings, performing inspections and walk-downs and to assist field personnel and construction team with Architectural technical issues.Proficient in using office personal computers, office networks, and the Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
