This individual will leverage their extensive technical expertise and industry knowledge to drive innovative solutions, influence engineering and support strategies, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will work closely with a diverse customer base, including OEMs in precision motion, robotics companies, system integrators, and distributors.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead solution engineering efforts for automation projects, integrating control systems, drives, motors, and HMIs.
- Provide application and technical support to existing and new clients.
- Develop proof of concept systems, technical workshops, and training programs.
- Collaborate with sales and product teams to enhance customer experience.
- Analyze and resolve technical challenges.
- Engage with customers during application development and commissioning processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mechatronics; Master's degree preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in automation engineering or a similar role, with a strong background in factory automation, robotics, and motion control.
- Proficiency in motion control, PLC, and HMI programming (script languages, JAVA, C/C++, IEC 61131 programming).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively.
- Experience with industrial fieldbuses, knowledge of servo control, and mechatronic concepts.
- Experience working within an international company is valuable, but not required.
- Motion control expertise required.
