Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Benefits Analyst to join our Human Resources team. This role is critical in designing, analyzing, and administering employee benefits programs to ensure competitiveness, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of benefits management, data analysis, and a commitment to employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day administration of all employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, wellness initiatives, flexible spending accounts, and retirement plans.
  • Handle enrollment, changes, and terminations of benefits within HRIS and external vendor systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment processes, including system setup, employee communications, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA.
  • Prepare and file required reports, such as 5500s, ACA compliance forms, and nondiscrimination testing.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes impacting employee benefits and recommend necessary plan updates.
  • Partner with HR leadership to evaluate, design, and recommend innovative benefits programs that meet the needs of a diverse workforce.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to compare current plans with market standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop cost models and forecasts for proposed plan changes and present findings to leadership.
  • Perform detailed analysis of benefits data to assess plan utilization, costs, and trends.
  • Generate periodic and ad-hoc reports for leadership, including metrics on claims, participation rates, and overall plan performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring competitive pricing and quality service delivery.
  • Monitor vendor performance and resolve escalated service issues promptly.
  • Develop and deliver benefits education programs, including new hire orientation sessions, webinars, and informational materials.
  • Provide personalized support to employees, addressing complex benefits inquiries and assisting with claims resolution.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees regarding benefits options, costs, and enrollment processes.
  • Design and promote wellness initiatives, including health screenings, fitness programs, and mental health resources.
  • Lead and participate in benefits-related projects, such as plan transitions, audits, and technology system implementations or upgrades.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in benefits administration, analysis, or consulting role, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and voluntary benefits.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, perform cost-benefit analyses, and make strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
