Sr BI Developer - Forum Energy Technologies : Job Details

Summary: FET is seeking an experienced BI Developer to create and manage their Reporting and Analytics. Collaborating with other team members, you'll be responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading data into Power BI or SSRS reports. Our ideal candidate is highly skilled in information technology and equipped with great problem-solving and leadership abilities. Fluency in multiple programming languages is a must, along with significant knowledge of subjects such as database design, T-SQL, Data warehouse, business intelligence, and enterprise service bus architecture. Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Robust knowledge of ETL process
• Design and develop reports
• Determine and analyze all technical needs of a project
• Test software/reports for quality assurance
• Identify and resolve issues in software systems / reports as needed
• Document software / report functionality and components
• Track project development process
• Solve technical issues
• Perform quality assurance tests
• Present project development and final products to higher-ups

Skills/Knowledge

• Current working knowledge of multiple programming languages and frameworks - including but not limited to C#, .NET, and T-SQL
• Database design skills
• Firm understanding of software quality assurance procedures
• Knowledge of data warehouse software / ETL Process
• Knowledge of Power Platform and Power BI
• Sharp written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent technical and logistical thinking skills
• Impeccable organizational skills
• Great problem-solving abilities
• Thorough attention to detail

Education

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field or comparable experience.
• Microsoft certifications are strongly preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in designing IT systems.
• Current working knowledge of multiple programming languages and frameworks - including but not limited to C#, .NET, and T-SQL
• Current working knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI and DAX coding
