Our locations are Palo Alto, CA US, New York City, NY US, Kohler, WI US, Seoul, Korea, and Tel Aviv, Israel.In your role as Senior Data Engineer at Kohler Ventures you will: Work directly with the Head of Software, software engineering team, and product teams.Design and Implement Data Systems: You will design and implement systems that handle the generation, ingestion, storage, transformation, and serving of data1.Data Lifecycle Management: Manage the complete lifecycle of data, ensuring its availability and integrity throughout the stages of generation, ingestion, storage, transformation, and serving.Data Quality and Consistency: Ensure the high quality and consistency of data through rigorous testing and validation.Optimization: Continuously optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability.Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance the capabilities of the data platform.Data Governance: Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive information and comply with regulatory requirements.Skills/RequirementsBachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.5+ years of experience in software design and development for Data Systems or in a similar role.Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.Availability to work outside of standard business hours if needed to be able to collaborate with teams across multiple time zones.Preferred QualificationsExperience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data warehousing solutions.Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL.Strong ability to communicate complex technical and management information clearly and concisely.#LI-NR1#LI-HybridWe will consider applicants requiring sponsorship for this opportunity.The approved base salary range for thisposition is $124,450 - $158,550. The actual base salary offered to a candidatemay be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety offactors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the worklocation. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of LivingAdjustment) that ranges from 16% of base salary for the NYC metro area. Theapproved base salary range including ASD for this position is $144,362-$183,918 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for aperformance bonus and a special project incentive.
