We are looking for a passionate Digital Content Editor to create an engaging web presence.
As a Sr. Digital Editor, you are to oversee producing, commissioning, and editing for digital magazines, newsletters, or other types of digital or media, such as a website or blog. You will be responsible for taking targeted web content from concept to publication by overseeing a JR Editor and freelance contributors.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional write with an eye for detail, highly organized, and experienced in researching stories in order to produce accurate and on-brand content. This person is deadline-driven; able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, be highly organized; able to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously; collaborate with other teams; and have a firm grasp of analytics and digital publishing processes and best practices. Must be proactive in prioritizing daily, weekly, and long-term tasks while working across departments including editorial, photo, design, social media, and marketing.
Ultimately, you should be able to maintain quality and consistency across media types and web platforms and drive increased traffic and brand visibility.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with counterparts on the print editorial team to align on major brand initatives, franchises and to support cross-platform sales opportunities contributing to the social, digital and video strategy for the magazine.
- Ensure robust daily digital coverage across our platforms, speaking with one compelling and authoritative voice, covering a breath of topics from fashion, to beauty, to culture, to lifestyle - all through the lens of exceeding digital KPIs for audience and performance.
- Ideate and execute editorial content strategy/line-up across digital properties
- Develop and execute compelling, brand-appropriate editorial programs to drive audience growth and engagement and facilitate sponsorship opportunities.
- Ideate, pitch, write, and edit articles about restaurants, chefs, and travel that meet our audience needs, brand voice, and organic search needs.
- Track opportunities and trends for top-performing content using analytics tools (SEMRush, Google Analytics) and use those insights to create content that addresses those opportunities.
- Create, produce and manage high-quality content
- Build relationship and establish collaboration with other team members
- Regularly check and track content
- Work in a multidisciplinary team with professionals such as web designers, marketing executives and photographers to improve content strategy
- Adhere to copyright and privacy standards and company policies
- Determine and track important KPIs

Requirements
- Previous working experience as a Digital Editor for (5) years
- A flair for storytelling and a proven track record of identifying trends and topics to cover - and the best way in which to write and engage with our audience
- Highly skilled at building stories and editing at speed within a CMS
- An understanding of the importance of SEO in journalism, and how to use it effectively in everything from body copy to headlines
- An entrepreneurial mind-set, with a focus on new opportunities for stories and areas for audience growth
- Strong interpersonal communications skill sand the ability to work effectively with colleagues across myriad departments and differing levels of seniority.
