Job Description :
The Digital Grid Solutions Architect must have an advanced understanding of multi-domain operations and joint all-domain command and control (JADC2), tactical datalinks and how to integrate them into military operations, AI-driven big data solutions and analytics, and next-gen mission systems. In this position, you will be involved in current operations for Digital Grid business area, working with the US Government and industry partner.The Digital Grid Solution Architect builds detailed architecture blueprints and software product roadmaps to enable solving business problems of highest priority and complexity. They must have an high degree of understanding of the customer requirement elicitation process and must be able to take those requirements and map to software roadmaps. The Solution Architect ensures solutions align to Enterprise Architecture strategies, standards, and patterns across business, data, applications, and infrastructure architecture layers. He/she facilitates coordination with business area leadership, architects, and SMEs within the assigned business organizations, as well as BD leadership, He/she also acts as a primary source on prioritization decisions along with Technology and BD on software pipeline decisions. The Solution Architects stays current on applicable technologies to the Digital Grid product line.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains– air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:

  • The Digital Grid Sr. Solution Architect is expected to be intimately familiar with all aspects of operation and employment of the equipment supported by the Digital Grid team including all in house software applications, data solutions and product lines.

  • Responsible for building demonstrations for potential customers in support of Business Development initiatives

  • Responsible for supporting white paper and proposal efforts by providing subject matter expertise and technical writing support.

  • Responsible for requirement elicitation and requirements prioritization in support of Agile Software development roadmaps to include software product management

  • Collect feedback from stakeholders to make necessary improvements and adjustments to solutions being designed or fielded

  • Key technical contributor to producing technical notes, white papers, and proof of concepts

  • Provide engineering support to the Digital Grid BD Team and ensure MST technology roadmaps are relevant in meeting the strategic business goals

  • Travel is required up to 25% annually (Customer Engagement, Business Development, Exercise, and Integration support to end users).

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field

  • 10 or more years of relevant experience

  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Experience with enterprise architecture, capability planning, and alignment of IT to corporate and BU strategy

  • Familiarity with wireless networks, tactical communications and personal computers

  • Experience designing, developing, and integrating applications

  • Experience using Multi-INT fusion (OSINT, SIGINT, Imagery, Cyber) or commercial data fusion to build full scope analytical products

  • Key technical contributor to producing technical notes, white papers, and proof of concepts

  • Experience in eliciting software and systems requirements along with the prioritization and management

  • Full understanding of DoD military operations specifically within the special operations and intelligence communities

  • Stateside/Internationaltravel is required up to25% annually(Customer Engagement, Business Development Support, Training, Exercise, and Integration support to end users)

  • An activeTop SecretU.S. Security Clearance with SCI eligibility, isrequired.

Preferred:

  • Thorough knowledge of Navy tactical datalink hardware is highly desirable (Link 16)

  • Thorough knowledge of modern software development architectures and integration patterns

  • Experience or interest in SQL, Python or other data science languages and tools

  • Experience with drafting reference architecture

  • Vendor management experience

  • Communication and customer interface skills

  • Experience in supporting Business Development Qualification

  • Experience with Agile Development Processes

  • Comprehensive understanding of system level maintenance of networks and communications systems

  • Familiarity with big data analytics

  • Background with US Military Intelligence and/or the US Intelligence Community doctrine

  • Experience in tasking, collection, processing, and dissemination activities either as a collection manager or analyst

  • Strong background with use of exploitation, data visualization and mapping tools

  • Current Security+ certificate is desirable

  • Current Network+ certificate is desirable

This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
