Senior Electrical Engineer (PE Required)

Location: Remote or Hartford area (with occasional on-site visits as needed)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical engineering projects. This role offers the opportunity to design infrastructure for large-scale mission-critical facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical System Design: Design electrical distribution systems, including generators, ATS, UPS, and switchgear.
  • Modeling & Documentation: Use Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical analysis tools like SKM, AGI 32, and AMPCALC 4 to develop accurate designs.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs comply with NEC, IBC, IECC, and relevant codes.
  • Project Leadership: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions.
  • Client Engagement: Work directly with clients to define project goals, provide technical guidance, and conduct site investigations.
  • Technical Reporting: Document design calculations, decisions, and system specifications.
  • Project Management: Act as Engineer on assigned projects, coordinating tasks with the Project Manager and Team Leader.
  • Design & Production: Manage design tasks, including site surveys, system designs, and coordination with other disciplines and consultants.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are within budget and scope.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, IBC, IECC, and NFPA codes.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other design tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Design experience in commercial, institutional, medical, and public buildings such as healthcare, biotech, higher education, office, and mixed-use developments.
  • Familiarity with state building codes, energy codes, and industry standards.
  • Experience in power system analysis and energy modeling.
