Sr. Financial Analyst - Sprouts Farmers Market : Job Details

In this role, you will partner with your team to create meaningful plans and monthly forecasts that accurately reflect the state of the business and provide for a meaningful financial benchmark. You will provide analysis to the business to help guide strategic decisions and drive financial performance. You may provide ad hoc decision-making support for strategic initiatives and special projects. This position requires a high level of detail and ability to understand and identify anomalies across the entire company. This also requires a team member that is self-motivated, reliable, trustworthy, and conscientious with a thorough understanding of financial procedures and analysis. The expectation is the team member will be able to conduct analysis, build models, and form relationships with business partners.

• Forecasting, Planning and Budgeting

  • Supports and develops existing and new P&L forecast processes and summarizes forecast highlights, business drivers, risk and opportunities for business partners
  • Assists in the development of long-range financial planning and annual budgets for Sprouts
  • Builds, maintains, and enhances financial models to support accurate planning and influence decision making.

  Analysis

  • Analyze and articulate the “levers of profitability” of the business to provide a deeper understanding of key business drivers; and provide analyses and recommendations to help drive toward company revenue and profit goals
  • Consolidate both financial and operational data to provide meaningful reporting

  Reporting

  • Weekly & Monthly reporting on key business metrics for department leadership
  • Partner with the business to understand variances to forecast/budget, understand and relay ongoing implications

  Other

  • Support the planning / rollout of key Strategic Initiative within the area you support
  • Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting and/or finance
• Experience with budgeting, planning, modeling, and forecasting systems
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of financial data and statements
• Knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Reconciliation and Account Analysis
• Retail experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
• Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
