Sr. Lean & Operations Manager - THE BENEVA GROUP : Job Details

Beneva Group has been engaged by a stable and growing manufacturer of electric and gas distribution equipment to help them find their next Sr. Lean & Operations Manager in the Newark, NJ, area. This is a vital role that will oversee and optimize one business unit's operations as it moves to a different building recently purchased by the company. This person will also oversee the implementation of Lean Manufacturing within this business unit's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize production processes for a team of approximately 100 employees
• Oversee 4 production managers, providing guidance and support to achieve operational goals
• Work with Scheduling to ensure alignment between processes
• Support and improve Lean Manufacturing practices, including 5S, MDI boards, and process & material flow optimization
• Co-lead brownfield project management initiatives in preparation for future facility changes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall operational efficiency
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members, fostering a positive work culture
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree or relevant certifications (Lean) are a plus
• Proven experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and implementation strategies
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage diverse teams and navigate multicultural work environments
• Experience with brownfield project management preferred
• Manufacturing industry experience with Electrical products / Electromechanical Breakers highly desirable
• Ability to navigate in ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus)
