Sr Logistics Analyst - Distribution - Discount Tire : Job Details

Under minimal supervision, researches, analyzes and identifies opportunities to expedite distribution; develops recommendations which increase service and reduce costs. Develops, evaluates, and manages 3rd party vendor performance analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Executes distribution strategies to ensure timely delivery of product to stores, maximizing quality, while mitigating supply chain capacity constraints.
• Collaborates with 3rd party vendor to identify and resolve issues, trends, or exceptions to logistic operations/processes; provides process improvement recommendations
• Ensures 3rd party vendor is in compliance with Service Level Agreement (SLA); holds vendor accountable to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Creates reporting and dashboards to identify trends. Escalates compliance issues to stakeholders.
• Investigates and resolves complex and escalated distribution issues.
• Assists employees, vendors or other customers by answering technical questions related to logistics processes and procedures.
• Mentors Logistics Analyst and Logistics Analyst II on supply chain knowledge, customer service techniques and communications.
• Collaborate on cross functional projects to improve systems, develop best practices, and optimize the distribution network for an expanding and complex Distribution Network.
• Stays current on the latest industry technologies, trends and strategies.
• Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• This position requires a minimum 5 years Supply Chain or related experience with progressive complexity and responsibility. Experience in a Retail Business is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain principles such as transportation/ distribution operations, and/or inventory management tis required .
• Proven data mining, data modeling, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, gap analysis and problem analysis experience is needed. Experience utilizing automated tools and databases are preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft office, including skills with Word, Excel and Power Point is necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, present complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate complex ideas both verbally and in writing is necessary.
• Customer service skills including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude is essential.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, operations management or related or equivalent experience is required. Logistics or Supply Chain Management certifications are preferred.
