Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for a Sr. Manager, Supply Planning for our Plastics Strategic Business Unit to be located at our Dallas, TX or Harvey, IL facilities. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP), this person will be responsible for driving industry leading customer service levels and inventory optimization. This role will be responsible for leading a team of 4-5 associates focused on managing finished good inventory as well balancing capacity expectations with production plants and 3rd party vendors. What you'll do:
  • Manage team of Supply Planners responsible for balancing service to the customer and overall inventory levels.
  • Assume lead role in management of MRP tools necessary to drive inventory levels to support key metrics/business objectives.
  • Lead the monthly Supply Review (Supply/Demand balancing) meetings as a part of the SIOP process.
  • Accountable for customer fill rate and inventory days on hand within business area of responsibility.
  • Present department Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to general managers and various levels of senior and executive leadership
  • Create processes to manage both stocking and made-to-order items.
  • Ensure aligned inventory strategies are incorporated into updated supply plans.
  • Proactively communicate potential supply issues with the Product Supply- while leading issue resolution.
  • Conduct monthly root cause analysis of KPI's for their category/cluster - and identify corrective actions.
  • Responsible for leading capability with cross functional teams on both long and short-term capacity assessments to support demand changes.
  • Primary point of contact in supply planning for sales teams. Ensures that supply planning activities in the commercialization timeline are complete on time.
  • Oversee annual agent warehouse physical inventory reviews.
  • Ensure RDC's are stocked at optimal level to support sales strategy.
  • Identify and manage excess and obsolete product with continuous improvement approach to minimize future causes.
  • All other duties as assigned. What you bring:
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or other relevant fields
    • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in supply planning, materials planning, or related supply chain management.
    • Analytic skills and some statistical knowledge.
    • Experience working in S&OP, SIOP, or IBP processes preferred.
    • Advanced level Excel skills (Power BI preferred) which include experience in creating Excel/Database files is required with SQL query building experience preferred.
    • Experience with any MRP or supply planning software such as SAP APO, JDA Fulfillment, or JDE MRP.
    • Experience working in data warehousing and/or analytics software a plus.
    • Experience in S&OP processes, customer planning or supply planning.
    • ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
    • Position will require sitting and standing.
    • Employee may occasionally lift and/or move boxes or equipment.
    • 25% travel may be required.

        • Begin to drive SIOP and supply chain processes through direct interaction with internal stakeholders such as the Customer, Plant, and Distribution Center Leads.
        • Start teaching and sharing your analytics expertise with colleagues across the team.
        • Create standard work documents for procedures and processes. Within 12-months, you'll:
          • Lead internal supply and demand balancing meetings, helping to make decisions to drive overall customer experience.
          • Create and update reports, training materials and documentation.
          • Enable faster turnaround of product by managing large projects and building strong business relations with vendors.
