Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Ajulia Executive Search : Job Details

Responsibilities:

• The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will independently plan, manage, and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
• Must be a strong team player, adaptable to change, and possess a positive, solution-driven attitude.
• Represent the Design Engineering Team professionally in communications with customers, cross-functional teams, and the organization.
• The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will research, design, and test mechanical components for prototypes and final products, contributing to design procedures.
• Assist in generating Bills of Materials and processing ECRs/ECNs for product specifications.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives, including outsourcing validation and selection.
• Support manufacturing through lean initiatives and collaborate with sales and purchasing teams.
• The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will analyze warranty data to improve products by identifying root causes and developing solutions for field issues.
• Contribute to the development of the design team, including engineers and designers.

Qualifications:

• The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer must hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) with at least 5 years of experience in product design, within a structural manufacturing environment. Experience with trailers is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in 3-D CAD modeling software, with Siemens NX experience.
• Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping, VA/VE, welding, and assembly.
• The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer must have experience with ISO/APQP standards, FMEA, process flows, and production processes.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of design for manufacturability and serviceability.
• Ability to collaborate with customers, sales teams, and production staff.
• The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must understand statistical methods for lifecycle calculations.
