General Summary: The ideal candidate will be a current network engineer with 5+ years of network administration and infrastructure experience. This candidate must have the ability to support an established enterprise Cisco network completely including day to day support and network expansion/growth. Major Responsibilities: • Perform all LAN / WAN network activities as assigned. • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and monitor all network related equipment and be able to work on core network services such as fail-over, load balancing, bandwidth monitoring, caching, and VPN. • Work on integrated voice/data telecommunications networks; follow current network design and installation standards. • Create and document all actions, practices, procedures and processes. • System fault monitoring and resolution. • Other reasonable Network Engineer services associated with the planning, deployment, installation, administration, and management of client networks. • Possess a customer/user - focused attitude. • Provide off hours support as required. • Serve as a backup to Senior Network Engineer. Job Skills: • Operational experience with Cisco enterprise class routers, switches, and firewalls. • Knowledge of TCP/IP, IPSec, HSRP, and SNMP protocols. • Knowledge of routing protocols including BGP and EIGRP. • Knowledge of VLANs, subnetting, routing, switching, Spanning Tree, and QoS. • Knowledge of the OSI model. • Knowledge of Microsoft DHCP, DNS (AD Integrated), and WINS. • 5+ years of Network Administrator experience • Enthusiastic about expanding knowledge with new technologies and design concepts. • Excellent analytical, organizational, time management and problem solving skills are essential. • Will provide support to users in terms of troubleshooting network problems. • CCNA certification or higher. • Knowledge of RSA SecureID. Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations and/or Experience: • College Degree in a computer-related or IS discipline. Language Skills: • Good verbal and written communication skills required • Good interpersonal skills The expected base salary for this position ranges from $160,000-$170,000. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
