Overview

Mitchell1 is looking for a Sr. Network Engineer to join our Team. The responsibilities will include installation, maintenance, testing, documentation, and support of networks, routing, switching, wide area data networks, internet protocols, and architecture, information security solutions, and technologies that cross internal functional boundaries. You will work closely with internal and external customers to resolve complex network technical problems. You will provide technical guidance, install new network switches and route hardware and software, upgrade, and troubleshoot.

Responsibilities
  • Lead: planning, design, implementation, and documentation including support activities for Local Area Network and Wide Area Network architecture including vendor selection security, standardization, redundancy, and performance management.
  • Lead: troubleshooting and corrective action support to commercial developers, external customers, and internal operations for network and security-related applications through internal staff and external suppliers.
  • Lead: and implement and manage network quality of service management tools in the infrastructure including setting and maintaining policy-based rules for bandwidth utilization.
  • Perform packet capture and analysis to identify and remediate network issues.
  • Gathering statistics and performing analysis of performance data and security on the network infrastructure and recommending and implementing corrective actions.
  • Lead: efforts with team members to ensure that the company's and commercial clients' information assets are always protected.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience with the design, research, and development of network solutions, including combination of LAN/WAN networking, Internet-based SaaS support, application architecture, load-balancing, and network security in a hybrid on-premises, cloud (Azure, AWS), and multi-office environment
  • 3+ years of experience developing technical documentation
  • Experience assessing network configuration faults, packet capture analysis, and working with team members to remedy problems
  • Experience working with Windows and Linux servers preferred
  • Experience managing, supervising, or technical leadership of a small team
  • Bachelor's degree, CCNA, or CCNP certification preferred
