Job Description

NYU Langone Medical Center is looking for three Sr. Network Security Engineers. In this position, you will be working with a team of 7 engineers to deliver network security, design and engineering services for the NYU Langone Medical Center enterprise network. This person will be called on to plan, design, install, manage and maintain the overall enterprise network from a network security side. They will be responsible for:

• Design, maintain, and monitor extensive Firewall and F5 environments per hospital standards.

• Implement and support multi-vendor Firewall platforms featuring Palo Alto series Firewalls and Cisco ASA.

• Daily Maintenance and checks of all Firewall and F5 related equipment.

• Maintain and organize reporting information and documentation for Management review

• Maintain both high level and detailed levels of documentation as required for all PaloAlto, F5 and Gigamon environments.

• Perform routine maintenance functions for all systems including OS upgrades, hardware fixes, etc

• Provide second and third level support for all Firewall and F5 systems.

• On Call responsibilities on a rotating basis.

• Evening and weekend work on occasion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical and network design experience with in a large enterprise environment

• 3+ years of related experience with Cisco products (routing/switching--Nexus Series, Catalyst, etc.)

• Experience in analysis of business system requirements

• Experience with the following technologies :

Palo Altos, Nexus 3k, 5k, 7k, Cisco 6500, 4500, 3800, ASR, ISR, routing protocols (EIGRP, RIP, BGP, ISIS, multicast), Gigamon.F5 load balancing.

• Network certification CCIE or equivalent experience level is highly preferred
