The Raytheon Industry 4.0 (I4.0) team is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Project Manager to join our Automation Systems Engineering team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical proficiency, project management expertise, leadership abilities, and business acumen to ensure projects are successfully completed, on time, and within budget while driving innovation.

This individual is responsible for leading manufacturing automation and connected factory initiatives that maximize the operational efficiency of our factory and program customers. This role works across functions and levels in the business to ensure the proper planning, execution, financial performance (earned value), and delivery of quality capabilities that meet requirements. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative, diverse, geographically distributed team, and will be working in an Agile management framework.

What You Will Do

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business requirements and priorities.

Develop project plans, schedule, budgets, and resources.

Drive project execution, identify risks and opportunities, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within budget and schedule.

Proactively identify and manage changes in scope

Must be willing and able to Travel (Domestic) 20% of the time.

What You Will Learn

Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Industry 4.0, and incorporate relevant insights into project planning and execution.

Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, leadership, and development teams.

Skill in negotiating trade-offs and priorities between competing demands.

Financial Management: Gaining expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires BS in an Engineering field or the sciences (STEM) or Business-related field AND 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations/engineering, project/program management, functional management, or other relevant leadership experience; or 3+ years with an advanced STEM degree in Engineering.
  • Experience with project management, including the ability to develop project plans, scheduling, manage budgets following earned value techniques, manage risks and opportunities and lead cross-functional teams to successful project completion.
  • Experience developing business cases and Return on Investment (ROI) analyses.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with planning & execution of capital investments (appropriations requests)
  • Proven experience managing projects in the field of Industry 4.0, digital transformation, test automation, or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies and concepts, including IoT, AI, machine learning, robotics, and data analytics.
  • Experience with Agile Project Management methodologies
  • Understanding of earned value management
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
