Senior QA Analyst - Automation and Manual Trellis Energy, a subsidiary of Blackstone Technology Group, is hiring a full-time Senior QA Analyst - Automation and Manual who will support in-house Quality of product to deliver a delightful customer experience. Trellis Energy Background: Trellis Energy (trellisenergy.com) is an innovative San Francisco-based technology company offering the first SaaS B2B marketplace, to transform the commercial operations across the natural gas value chain. Responsibilities:

• Learn the Trellis software
• Author, maintain and automate test cases, test data, test scripts, test results and test reports;
• Program automation of functional and performance test cases covering back-end and front-end product functionalities.
• Manage Requirements Traceability Matrix and test coverage reports.
• Perform functional, performance, integration, regression, and acceptance test activities.
• Perform knowledge management efforts related to testing, test automation and software quality.
• Recommend corrective process/product actions and modifications as appropriate.
• Participate in triage, service restoration and root cause resolution meetings.
• Assist with creating testing metrics as requested by the manager.
• Assist with ramping and mentoring junior resources.

Required Skills:

• 5-10 years' experience manual/functional/automation testing business focused applications and systems
• Demonstratable ability to understand complex energy business such as logistics operations, contracts management, actualization, settlement etc.
• Undergraduate or master's degree in Computer Science, Business, Math, Science, or Engineering field
• Experience with the programming languages like Java, JavaScript, and SQL
• Experience with the refactoring of automation code using automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Selenium RC, AutoIT etc.
• Experience with build tools Jenkins, Maven, IntelliJ or Eclipse used during automating the product
• Experience with version control tools like SVN, GitHub
• Experience with Test Case Management Tools such as TestRail and life cycle of the test cases
• Experience with Collaboration Tools like Confluence, SharePoint
• Experience with Defect/Bug tracking tools like Jira, Rally etc.
• Experience with Unit testing, functional testing, smoke testing and integration testing of delivered code in all jobs
• Experience with Performance optimization and increasing efficiency of code and backend SQL queries using various automation tools
• Effectively collaborate with developers, business analysts, and user representatives in application design and document reviews.
• Good Analytical, troubleshooting, communication and presentation skills.
• Adept at using both manual and automated testing tools to troubleshoot systems, integration, user acceptance, positive and negative, functionality, object, and regression
• A creative mindset - and the ability to approach a problem creatively.
• A meticulous approach to work.

Preferred Skills:

• Good technical orientation such as project lifecycle and basic SQL is a plus
• Industry experience with Gas Transportation Systems; understanding of the midstream/downstream segments of the natural gas business
