Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sr. Scientist who will lead research projects focused on therapeutic development for muscle/metabolic diseases. This scientist will play a key role in designing, implementing, and coordinating both in vivo and in vitro experiments.

A typical day in the life may include the following responsibilities:

  • Application of metabolic/muscle biology expertise to design experiments to evaluate therapeutic efficacy in vivo
  • Performing in vivo experiments, including mouse handling, dosing, serum collection, functional testing, metabolic measurements, and tissue collection.
  • Running and troubleshooting assays, including Western blotting, qPCR, IHC, and fluorescence microscopy imaging.
  • Performing in vitro experiments, including culturing cell lines and primary muscle cells, cell transfection, and cell transduction with viral vectors.
  • Coordinating cross-functional research with other departments within Regeneron
  • Analyzing and presenting data at lab and group meetings and maintaining records in electronic lab notebooks (ELN).

In order to be considered for this role, you may have a Ph.D. with 0-3 years of postdoctoral or industrial experience or a M.S. with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a B.S. with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. We need someone with extensive in vivo experience and an understanding of metabolic studies. In vitro expertise is preferred, and basic molecular techniques, including qPCR and Western blotting are required.

Salary Range (annually)

$108,300.00 - $176,700.00
