Sr. Software Engineer - Labcorp : Job Details

Senior Software Engineer to develop cloud-based business solutions within the healthcare industry. Leverage technology skills to develop modern frameworks for software development, data science, and cloud platforms. Contribute to application development and data science efforts within the clinical development team at LabCorp.Design and code new applications and enhancements to existing applications.Develop intuitive, easy-to-use software in collaboration with the development team, project managers, business analysts, UX designers, quality assurance, and users.Integrate data from internal and external sources to build a data processing system.Creates new pipelines and builds reusable components at scale to support reporting & analytics data products.Write complex queries to transform raw data sources into accessible models.Cleans, prepares, transforms, and optimizes data at scale for integration and consumption.Architect solutions and determine optimal utilization of services on AWS.Performs code and design reviews with peers.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.8+ years of experience with strong understanding of Java programming concepts and best practices.Proficiency in Java SE (Standard Edition) and Java EE (Enterprise Edition), Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.).Strong experience in developing RESTful web services using the Spring framework.Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).Familiarity with build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle).Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).Preferred Requirements:Development experience with HL7 FHIR, HL7 CDA, and HL7 v2.Development experience building pipelines for public health/health care data (HL7, FHIR, vocabulary, and HHS data standards).Experience in working with various relational and NoSQL databases for large enterprise solutions.Experience developing container-based and serverless applications.Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code Tools such as Terraform.Experience with messaging services like SQS, Kafka, IBM MQ, or Kinesis.Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
